DAY 01: HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL TOUR OF CAJAMARCA

The trip begins with a reception at the Bus Station or Airport, where our team will be waiting to transfer you to the selected hotel. Once settled in, you can rest and prepare for the next day's tour.

At 10:00 AM, we will begin the tour of the city of Cajamarca, a place full of history and culture. The first stop will be the Plaza de Armas, the heart of the city, surrounded by colonial buildings that tell us about its past. We will continue with the visit to the Santa Catalina de Alejandría Church (Cathedral), an imposing construction that houses a large amount of religious art. Then we will go to the San Francisco Church, a site of great historical value, and to the Ransom Room, where the famous negotiation for the ransom of the Inca Atahualpa was held. We will continue with a visit to the Belén Church, the Colonial Hospital for Men, and the Colonial Hospital for Women, which houses the Archaeological Museum and the Ethnographic Museum, which provide a comprehensive overview of the region’s history and culture. Our last stop will be the Hill of Santa Apolonia, where we can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the city, and the famous “Silla del Inca”, a place full of legends.

In the afternoon, we will head to La Collpa-Llacanora, where we will have the opportunity to experience the traditional “call of the cows”, an ancestral ritual performed during milking. We will visit the artificial lagoon, the local chapel, and the village of Llacanora, where we will walk to observe the beautiful waterfalls, especially during the rainy season.

The tour will end around 07:00 PM, at which time we will return to the hotel to spend the night and rest, ready for the next day of adventure.

DAY 02: WONDERS OF CUMBE MAYO AND OTUZCO

The day will begin with a breakfast at the hotel to prepare for the tour to Cumbe Mayo, located at 3,500 meters above sea level. At 09:30 AM, we will depart for this incredible archaeological site, known for its impressive Cumbe Mayo aqueduct, a great work of hydraulic engineering. We will enjoy a viewpoint in Bella Vista, with panoramic views of the Cajamarca Valley. We will visit the Layzón, a mysterious stone forest, and explore the Cumbe Mayo Sanctuary, which houses petroglyph inscriptions, the Tunnel of Wishes, ceremonial altars, sacrificial stones, and the famous aqueduct.

Afterwards, we will head to enjoy a typical lunch of the region, to recharge our batteries and continue with our tour in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Otuzco area, famous for the Ventanillas de Otuzco, a set of Inca tombs carved into the rocks. From the Mirador de la Campiña we will be able to observe the beautiful landscape, and then we will visit the Ex Hacienda Tres Molinos. We will also visit the Hydrangea Botanical Garden, a beautiful natural space full of local flora, and the Fundo Los Alpes, where we will be able to buy and taste different varieties of dairy products.

The tour will conclude at 07:00 PM, returning to the hotel to rest before continuing with the next day's activities.

DAY 03: POCÓN FARM AND LOCAL HANDICRAFTS

The third day will begin with a breakfast at the hotel. At 09:30 AM, we will depart for Granja Porcón, a tourist destination that combines nature and rural activities. During the visit, we will explore Huambocancha, the place where the Picapedreros are located, local artisans who work with stone in a traditional way. We will also visit the Cooperativa Atahualpa Jerusalén, where residents produce wood crafts and textiles, in addition to participating in workshops where we will learn more about their techniques.

During the tour, we will have the opportunity to observe the vicuña viewpoint, a small zoo with local fauna, and enjoy the sale of artisanal dairy products, which we can take home as souvenirs.

The tour will end at 02:00 PM, and we will return to the hotel to rest or enjoy the free afternoon.

DAY 04: FREE TIME AND RETURN HOME

The last day will start with a breakfast at the hotel. Then, at 09:00 AM, we will have free time to shop at the local markets and take home souvenirs of this incredible trip.

At the end of the morning, at the indicated time, it will be time for the transfer to the Bus Station or Airport, where the tour will end, with unforgettable memories of the city of Cajamarca and its wonderful surroundings.
