DAY 01: START OF THE ADVENTURE – RECOVERY AND TRANSFER
The first day of our adventure begins early, with a pick-up at your hotel between 4:30 and 4:40 a.m. Our team will be waiting for you at the door of your accommodation in Cusco to begin this exciting experience. This initial transfer is carefully planned to ensure your comfort and punctuality, marking the beginning of what will be an unforgettable day.
From your hotel, we will head to the Wánchaq bus station, a key point to take the bimodal bus that will take us to Ollantaytambo, a charming town located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This modern transport will offer you a quiet and picturesque ride, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular views of the Andean landscapes while you delve into the essence of this historic region.
In Ollantaytambo, we will get ready for the next step of our adventure: the Peru Rail Expedition train ride. This train will take us to km 104 of the railway, the starting point of our hike to Machu Picchu.
Once at km 104, we will begin our uphill hike to the fascinating archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna, a place full of history and natural beauty. Along the way, we will enjoy panoramic views and archaeological discoveries that bring us closer to the grandeur of the Inca civilization.
At lunchtime, we will stop at the camp to enjoy a box lunch (included), recharging our batteries to continue our day.
The adventure will continue with the hike to the Intipunku (Sun Gate), where we will be rewarded with spectacular views of Machu Picchu, the Inca citadel shown in all its splendor. We will take advantage of this moment to take unforgettable photographs of this majestic place.
From Intipunku, we will descend towards Machu Picchu, where we will have more time to explore and photograph the wonder of the world. After this visit, we will take the bus (not included) that will take us to Aguas Calientes, the picturesque town at the foot of Machu Picchu, where we will conclude the day.
To end the day, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at a tourist restaurant before resting and recharging our batteries. We will spend the night in a 2-star hotel, carefully selected to offer you the comfort you need after such an exciting day.
DAY 02: EXPLORING MACHU PICCHU AND RETURN TO CUSCO
The second day of our adventure begins with a delicious and energizing breakfast at the hotel, to ensure you are ready to explore one of the most impressive wonders of the world: Machu Picchu.
After breakfast, we will head towards Machu Picchu on the Consettur bus, which will take us comfortably on a picturesque route to the entrance of the majestic Inca citadel. This transfer will be fast and comfortable, allowing us to enjoy the beauty of the landscape as we approach one of the most emblematic destinations of humanity.
At 7:00 a.m., we will begin our guided tour of the incredible Machu Picchu citadel. For approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, we will explore Circuit 2 of the citadel, where we will delve into the history and mysteries of this sacred place. Our expert guide will take us through temples, plazas, platforms, and other emblematic structures, revealing details about Incan culture and the construction of this world wonder. The natural environment surrounding Machu Picchu is equally impressive, and every corner will offer us a new panoramic view that will leave a mark on our memory.
After having lived a unique experience, we will go to the town of Aguas Calientes and, at 4:00 p.m., we will take the Expedition Bimodal train (train + bus) that will take us back to Cusco. This comfortable means of transport will take us to the Wánchaq station, enjoying a relaxing journey while we say goodbye to the imposing citadel of the Incas.
Once we arrive at Wánchaq, we will take the direct tourist transport that will take you back to the door of your hotel in Cusco, ensuring that your return is comfortable and worry-free.
Our arrival in Cusco is estimated at 9:00 p.m., marking the end of the tour. At the end of this exciting day, you will have unforgettable memories of an adventure full of history, culture and breathtaking landscapes.
