PUNO: AMANTANI HOMESTAY

DAY 01: ISLANDS OF LAKE TITICACA

The day begins with a pick-up at your hotel at 7:50 am and transfer to the port of Puno to board the boat that will take us to the floating islands.

We will sail towards the Uros Islands, where we will learn about the fascinating way of life of this ancestral community, famous for its floating islands built of totora. You will learn about their traditions, customs and the collective work that makes this way of life possible.

Afterwards, we will head to Amantani Island, where local families will welcome us with hospitality. We will enjoy a delicious typical lunch prepared by the island's inhabitants.

In the afternoon, we will go up to the Pachatata Ceremonial Center to enjoy a spectacular sunset and marvel at the panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

As night falls, we will take part in a cultural show with traditional music. You will be able to dress up in local costume and dance to the rhythm of the typical music of the region!

DAY 02: EXPERIENCE ON TAQUILE ISLAND

We will start the day sharing a delicious breakfast with the host family, where we will learn more about their customs and daily activities. It will be a unique opportunity to learn about the daily life of local families and how they maintain their traditions.

We will depart for Taquile Island, famous for its impressive crafts, cultural heritage, and spectacular views of Lake Titicaca. During our tour of the island, we will walk along its trails, observe local crafts, and learn about traditions that have been maintained for generations.

Next, we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch from the island, prepared with local products that reflect the rich gastronomy of the region.

After a day full of culture and breathtaking views, we will return to Puno, arriving around 3:30 pm.
