DAY 01: HUAYLAS ALLEY – LANGANUCO LAGOON
The day begins with a fascinating excursion through the Callejón de Huaylas, a place of unique landscapes and a deep connection with nature. The first stop will be at the Plaza de Armas de Carhuaz, a space where tranquility and provincial charm invite you to enjoy its special atmosphere.
We will continue towards Campo Santo de Yungay, a site steeped in history that commemorates the inhabitants of this town, providing a reflective and moving experience. Later, we will head to the imposing Laguna de Llanganuco, whose deep blue waters and mountainous surroundings offer an unforgettable postcard.
The route also includes a visit to the historic Yungay province, where we will discover the warmth of its people and its rich cultural heritage. To close the tour, we will explore the craft centers of Tárica, an ideal place to acquire beautiful pieces handmade by talented local artisans.
DAY 02: ENIGMA OF CONCHUCOS ALLEY
This excursion combines cultural richness with moments of relaxation, as we walk through the beautiful Callejón de Conchucos. The trip will take us through picturesque towns such as Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac, each with its own charm and traditions that reflect the essence of the region.
Along the way, we will stop at the impressive Querococha Lagoon, a body of water surrounded by mountains that captivates with its serenity and natural beauty. We will continue towards the imposing Cahuish Tunnel, an engineering work that connects the wonders of this area.
The tour will also take us to the towns of Machac and Chavín, where the emblematic Archaeological Monument of the Chavín Culture is located, a thousand-year-old legacy that reveals the greatness of this ancient civilization. Here, you can admire its unique architecture and feel the connection with the past through its enigmatic labyrinths and sculptures.
DAY 03: RENEWED ROUTE
The renewed tourist route is presented as a fascinating proposal in a protected natural area, where fossilized remains of the flora that inhabited this region thousands or perhaps millions of years ago are found. This unique tour seeks to generate interest and knowledge about an environment full of history and natural beauty.
During the excursion, visitors will have the opportunity to observe the place where a glacier was located many years ago. Here you can admire the most beautiful exponent of the high Andean flora, the imposing Puya Raimondi, a unique species of its kind. In addition, we will explore the magical carbonated waters of Pumapampa and the mystical Ojo de Agua de Pumashimi, a natural spectacle that surprises with its colors and properties.
Finally, the journey will take us to the impressive Laguna de los Siete Colores, a body of water that reflects a dreamlike landscape, before beginning the return to Huaraz, with a memory full of unforgettable landscapes and a deep respect for nature.
DAY 04: NATURE OF THE HUAYLAS ALLEY
We will head north of the majestic Callejón de Huaylas, located between the imposing Black and White mountain ranges. This tour promises an unforgettable experience in full connection with nature within the extraordinary Huascarán National Park.
Throughout this journey, we will enjoy unique landscapes while admiring some of the most emblematic snow-capped mountains in the region: the imposing Huascarán, the elegant Huandoy, the challenging Pisco, the enigmatic Pyramid and the majestic Artesonraju, considered authentic jewels of the Peruvian Andes.
Every moment on this excursion is an invitation to contemplate natural grandeur, capture breathtaking views and feel the serenity that only these high-altitude landscapes can offer.
DAY 05: ENJOY THE COLD
We will enjoy a unique day, full of natural and cultural wonders. We will begin by appreciating the majestic glaciers of the Cordillera Blanca from the impressive Punta Olímpica, located at 4,736 meters above sea level. From this natural viewpoint, we will have a panoramic view that will leave us breathless, surrounded by the imposing beauty of the mountains.
Then, we will cross the highest trans-Andean tunnel in the world, a tunnel 1,380 meters long, which will take us to an even more fascinating experience. After crossing it, we will immerse ourselves in the landscapes of the Valle de los Conchucos, highlighting the spectacular Emerald Lagoon, whose vibrant color and crystal-clear waters offer a unique view.
We will continue our journey until we reach Chacas, a charming town where we will visit the famous Bosco craft workshops, which will leave us impressed with the intricate wood carvings made by local artisans. We cannot help but admire the Mama Meche de Chacas Church, a place of great devotion and architectural beauty, which connects us with the history and culture of the region. Without a doubt, this day will remain engraved in our memory for its natural and cultural wealth.
